Heat pumps are essential in this region

I have been living in the Midwest of the country for the majority of our life. What that means for me, as an Heating as well as A/C business, is that I have a high amount of furnace service calls in the winter. The winters tend to get pretty rough out in that area of the country as well as that means that they take the “health” of their furnace one hundred percent seriously. When I moved here, where the winters are much more moderate, I found that gas furnaces were not close to being as popular as they were in the Midwest. In fact, heat pumps were almost all I had to job on. I had never particularly diagnosed a heat pump before. With that being said, I can tell that’s not correct. Technically, air conditioners are a form of heat pumps (except the heat only goes 1 direction, as well as that is outside of the house). The heat pumps that I’m referring to would substitute the air conditioner as well as furnace systems with a single type of unit. Heat pumps can either pull the tepid air out of the house- love an air conditioner- or pump humid air in- love a furnace. Heat pumps are better about efficiency as well as keeping that heating as well as cooling bill low, however they don’t get the beach house as warm as a furnace would. However, like I said before, it’s moderate here so there’s particularly no need to have the level of heating that a furnace can give you. I have a heat pump in our own home, as well as I love it! It makes it so much easier to only stress out about 1 heating as well as cooling unit. I will admit, though, sporadically I do miss the toasty heat of a furnace.
