Occasionally I wonder what it would have been like residing in the Wild West, as everybody went around strapped with guns just waiting for somebody to challenge them to a shootout.
Then they rode horses everywhere and they didn’t have expensive technology like heating and cooling systems with advanced temperature control that can be adjusted remotely with our iphones…
If I were able to time travel back to those times and I tried to explain to somebody how a smart temperature control works, they wouldn’t have a clue of what I was talking about. I have to admire the people of those times though, they were able to come up with wood burning stoves and creative ways to keep cool, however with the skills I have these days, I might not have been able to survive while I was in those days. With our luck I would be bitten by a rattlesnake while trying to keep hot next to the outside fireplace. It is exciting to watch unusual shows depicting those days though, and of course, if I had the option between which era I wanted to live, I think I would have to continue residing this life of mine. I don’t guess that I could live without being able to adjust the temperature control settings and having that relaxing air conditioning actually working in the days of the summer. I guess you could say that I’m mostly spoiled by technology like most other people these days, and back then people didn’t live quite as long without medical advancements today and people even died of heat stroke because they didn’t have access to air conditioning.
