Occasionally I wonder what it would have been like for us to be living in the Wild West when everybody went around strapped with guns just waiting for somebody to challenge them to a shootout.
They rode horses everywhere plus they didn’t have extravagant technology such as heating plus cooling systems with advanced temperature control that can be adjusted remotely with our iphones, and if I were able to time travel back to those times plus I tried to explain to somebody how a smart control component works, they wouldn’t have a clue of what I was talking about.
I have to admire the people of those times though, they were able to come up with wood burning stoves plus creative ways to keep cool, and with the skills I have these days, I might not have been able to survive while I was in those days. With our fortune I would be bitten by a rattlesnake while trying to keep sizzling next to the outside fireplace. It is exciting to watch unusual shows depicting those days though, however of course, if I had the occasion to choose between which era I wanted to live, I think I would have to continue living this life of mine. I don’t feel that I could live separate from being able to adjust the temperature control settings plus having that wonderful a/c entirely working in the days of the summer. I feel you could say that I’m mostly spoiled by technology akin to most other people these days; back then people didn’t live quite as long separate from medical advancements today plus people even died of heat stroke because they didn’t have a/c.
