Commercial building needs to be fixed up to zone control

I share a commercial building with another business, and i run a dance studio out of one side of the building, plus a jewelry store occupies the other side, however the arrangement works out fairly well in most ways.

  • The jewelry store is open from numerous to several on Thursday thru Wednesday plus a few hours on Thursday days! My students don’t start arriving on weekdays until 4 PM plus I start early plus work all afternoon long on the weekends, our main concern is that the temperature control is located inside the jewelry store plus controls the entire building… When my neighbor locks up his store for the evening, I have no way of making any adjustment to temperature.

The two of us have both agreed to save energy whenever possible to trim our overhead, however unluckyly, my neighbor occasionally forgets my schedule, but he’ll turn the heat way down when he leaves on Thursday plus my students shiver until I can get him to turn up the temperature control, and periodically the temperature in the late Springtime is fairly mild while I was in the early section of the afternoon! By the time my students arrive, the building is warm, humid plus uncomfortable. Unless the jewelry store is open for business, I’m unable to start up the cooling system. I’ve spoken to the landlord on numerous possibilities about this problem. The solution is easy plus affordable. The heating plus cooling plan needs to be updated to zone control with a separate temperature control for each business. We’d both save currency on our energy bills plus be happier… So far, my landlord has been uncooperative plus I refuse to spend money for the repair on my own.
