When I moved into our home I thought I would be able to make a lot of alterations to it.
It was a fixer upper that required a lot of updates.
It is an older home plus a lot of things can’t be fixed. I tried to change the layout of my lavatory plus I realized when I crawled underneath the house, that most of those changes couldn’t be made due to how the home was built. I couldn’t transport around plumbing, electric or our fixtures. I also noticed that our plan of having central Heating, Ventilation plus A/C throughout the home wasn’t going to happen. I had a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company come over plus he cringed when looking at our house. He said older homes don’t take air duct replacement entirely well. The tear down and replacement process is quite rough. He literally thought our home might fall down if he attempted to put an air duct in. The guy heavily recommended a ductless heating plus cooling idea. At first I was reluctant. I didn’t want to have a ton of things on our walls with a thermostat. I didn’t prefer the idea of every room having a thermostat. I also didn’t like the upfront cost. I didn’t have many options so I went with the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C professional’s idea. Now that I live with a ductless Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit, I just enjoy it. I enjoy that I can have A/C in the kitchen plus not affect our family in the living room. I enjoy that the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device is out of the way. The wall mounted devices are really modern looking as well.
