I worried I couldn’t get the furnace installed in time.

I had to order a special type of furnace for my new home.

The basement was little more than a crawl space.

Unless you were extremely short, you couldn’t stand up straight. I needed to have a furnace that was low to the ground and wide, or it wouldn’t fit in the basement. The HVAC tech found the specialty furnace and ordered it the following day. It cost a bit more to order a special furnace, but it was the only choice I had. He explained it was going to take six to eight weeks for the furnace to be delivered. Now, I was worrying that the furnace wouldn’t be installed before the first time it fell below freezing. I wondered if I shouldn’t have tried to order the furnace last year when I realized I was going to need a new heating system. Worrying would not get the furnace there any sooner. Had I bought the furnace last year, I wouldn’t have to wonder when it would be delivered. I would have had the furnace ordered, delivered, and installed, long ago. Someday, I will quit procrastinating, and I hope that I stop soon. I think I may have learned a valuable lesson if my furnace doesn’t get installed soon. I would really like to have a heating system when the snow starts to blow in a couple of months. It is just that I can’t think about needing a furnace when the air conditioning unit is still a necessity for your indoor comfort. Maybe I should consider looking for my new air conditioning unit now and not wait until spring.
