SEO is when the company gets you on page one of google by targeting the keywords. You don’t need to pay when someone clicks, you are getting organic search results they say. I also found that a lot of digital marketing and online marketing companies stress the importance of social media and a totally optimized website. What is an optimized website? I have figured it is when your website works. You can click over to pages, scroll down and the content is laid out correctly. Colors, fonts and graphics that are pleasing to the eye is a part of it too. Also, correct information, contact forms, phone numbers clearly placed and accreditations are a good idea to have on the website. I have so much more to learn still about seo though.

I seriously need social media management.

I run a glass business in a really small southern town. I will replace glass in windows, add glass to doors and make mirrors for people. I get quite a bit of business since it is a small town and word of mouth travels quite a bit. However, I know I could get business from a few towns over if I had a good website and social media presence. A friend of mine did the web design and it is horrible. It is just a single page that is a contact form and three pictures of work I have done. The contact form is helpful, but so far no one has filled out one. The pictures aren’t that clear or of the best work I have done. I also want to be on social media and don’t really have the time or the skills. I found an SEO business that will fix my website and do social media management for me. They want to make a three page website. They want a homepage with my contact information, a page detailing my services and another page being a whole gallery of photos of completed work. Social media is what I am most excited for. They are planning to put me on facebook, twitter, instagram and google business. They have a person on staff that will post throughout my social media sites all through the month. I am really excited that my business name, phone number and services will be out there on so many platforms. I do a good business now, but I know I could do so much more.
