Using SEO to build my business

When I first started out with my business of selling rare collectables and comic books, Ebay was still a big thing.

I know that it’s still around and active and everything, but back in those days Ebay was basically the only place to sell things like this. It was the wild west of the internet, I swear, and I made large sums of cash that I have never seen since. Now I host private auctions through my website, and offer direct sales. Mastering the art of SEO, or search engine optimization, has really taken my business to a whole new level that I haven’t seen since Ebay. For anyone who may not know, when I talk about SEO it means “search engine optimization” and it is the process of making your website leaner, meaner, and more attractive to the Google rankings. The better your SEO, the higher you rank in search results, which gives you advertising and visibility that you don’t have to pay for. By focusing on my website SEO and web design instead of a big marketing campaign, I have started building a lot of organic traffic, which is the most valuable kind. I run a tight website, I work on the SEO several times a week to keep it current, and most of all I deliver what I promise. Google has a way of determining which websites are the most valuable by counting return business, positive reviews, and customer satisfaction. Can you believe SEO encapsulates so much about a business, it’s kind of scary how smart machines are getting.
