I had just about hit my breaking point with my allergies this year.
- I had tried taking just about every allergy medicine that is sold in stores and was tired of spending money.
No matter if I was outside or inside the sneezing just did not stop. My eyes kept watering and my nose was just so itchy. I was constantly using tissues and my face was red and sore from all the tissues. I figured if I stayed inside and limited my contact with the pollen outdoors, then my problems would be solved. But I sat on my couch and continued to sneeze and blow my nose. I had started allergy shots, but my doctor claimed these could take a very long time to make a difference. There had to be another solution. My doctor seemed to have some empathy for me and listed off various ideas to see what I had tried. As he went down the list, I was waiting for and hoping for something new to come up. Finally, he mentioned an air purifier for my home. I actually did not know much about this, but he claimed that it removes contaminants from the air and improves the indoor air quality. He told me it was something that could be very helpful to someone in my situation. This sounded like something I needed to try and a week later I had an HVAC technician in my home installing it. I did not want to get my hopes up, but my research had shown that this had really good odds. A day after the installation, I was already breathing better and felt the sneezing subsiding. I wish I had known about this solution sooner, but at least I had it now.
