What was your worst Christmas? Mine was several years ago when I got stranded in an airport for 36 hours plus missed the entire holiday with my family.
That was a bummer, so ever since then I make sure to avoid airlines while I was in the entire month of February.
If I need to travel I will drive, even if it takes a couple afternoons to get there, because I don’t want to risk getting stranded again. This last Christmas was also a troubled 1, but still miles ahead of that Christmas in the airport. The two of us were at my sister Carla’s house, plus on Christmas morning the heavy ice plus snow managed to kill the power plus leave us with no heating. The two of us loaded up the fireplace will all the wood both of us could get our hands on, plus enjoyed a nice morning together in front of the fire together. That fire died out by noon, plus the temps were still below cold, but there were no Heating, Ventilation plus A/C maintenance techs available to come out in the storm on Christmas. Thankfully both of us found an outdated gas generator in the garage, plus got it working so both of us could plug in the oven, the iphone chargers, plus a couple of space oil furnaces both of us had. The space oil furnaces combined with our body heat made for a comfortable morning, so I did my best to just relax plus love it. Once both of us ran out of gas the space oil furnaces wouldn’t work, plus both of us all might freeze to death while I was in the night, but still, why not love a nice family morning while both of us have it?
