At first, my spouse was a bit hesitant about moving into my house.
She kept insisting we rent it out or sell it to buy a place that belonged to the two of us.
I knew why she was doing so and did my best to reassure her this was as much her house as it was mine. Finally, to get everything settled before the wedding, I agreed we’d save and build our dream home in 5 years. In the meantime, we’d live in the house I bought. A month after the wedding, she moved from her apartment to the house and turned it into a home. The change was noticeable since she brought color, plants, and even decor to my man-cave house. I didn’t mind at all and even started feeling more relaxed with each change. One issue that we both felt was crucial was having the aircon unit inspected. My spouse was sneezing a lot, which indicated something was wrong with the air quality in the house. She asked me if the ductwork had ever been cleaned before. I had to admit it hadn’t and guessed that was why the house had poor indoor air quality. I booked an appointment with an HVAC business near the house, and they sent two HVAC technicians to us. The HVAC technicians confirmed that both the indoor and outdoor HVAC units, plus the ductwork had mold and mildew. The mold and mildew spores were getting blown into the house, compromising both our health and well-being. We left the AC technicians to clean out the gunk in the whole air conditioning unit to improve our quality of life.
