HVAC installation at the beach house: My first project

There is always a silver lining in every situation.

My silver lining came when I still got to practice my profession even when the world was burning.

It so happened that when the pandemic broke, I had just graduated from the school of cooling technology. I became a certified cooling specialist. My fellow graduates and I were not able to get jobs because most companies had shut down, others closed up. It was a frustrating and dampening period in my life, but I got through it. I decided to change environments and head south to our beach house. I was welcomed by hot, heavy, stale air. The cooling equipment at the beach house had since shut down. The caretaker had an emergency, so he had not reported to the house to have the issue fixed. Since I got to the house in the late morning, I had enough time to have the issue fixed. I looked up several cooling corporations and settled on one HVAC business that was running a sale to draw customers during the pandemic. I ordered an electric heat pump to help with indoor comfort at the beach house. The local service provider was very efficient as the cooling system was delivered within a few hours. By noon, I had the unit at the house, and I was trying to convince myself that I remembered all the steps involved in HVAC installation. With the help of one of my friends who is an HVAC contractor, I was able to fit the new unit but it took me quite a while. For the climate control unit, I fitted a wifi thermostat. The beach house now had a quality AC service and I had done most of it on my own. I was a qualified cooling technician.
