I got caught with a stolen A/C unit

Three law enforcement officers came to my apartment on Friday day. I thought they were going to bust down the door. They knocked loudly, as if there was a murder suspect behind the doors. They called out my name and I answered the door. The police officer asked myself and others if I bought an A/C device from a woman on facebook… She asked if I was the facebook user with the screen name * and I said yup. She asked myself and others to put my hands behind my back and she sited myself and others in cuffs. She said she had a search warrant for the A/C unit. At this point, I realized that the A/C device must be stolen. I told the officer that I didn’t suppose the A/C device was stolen. I never should have said that out loud. I was just thinking in my head that it was the only way these cops would be all over me. The cops took myself and others down to the station to answer questions. They gave to get myself and others a lawyer and I didn’t suppose if that was a fine method or not. I didn’t have anything to hide from the police, although I didn’t want to get charged with a crime. I didn’t suppose the A/C device was stolen when I bought the item online. The cops really believed me, but they wanted all of the information about the purchase including the name of the lady and her facebook screen name. I tried to cooperate as much as I could. That was a tough lesson l acquired. I was out $225 bucks and the cops weren’t going to refund that money.
