I need to improve the indoor air quality in our house right away, according to my mother.
Every time she comes over, it’s something. It seems like she always has to be complaining about one thing or another! Even though that is pretty annoying, in my opinion, I guess she really does have a point. I do need to do something about the poor indoor air quality in our house. I have noticed recently that there’s a weird smell that comes through the air conditioning vents every time that the central A/C starts running. Of course, I’m no HVAC professional so I have no idea what the issue is. The only thing that I could think of that could be the problem is maybe a dead mouse in an air duct or something gross like that. Since my mom keeps on complaining about it, I decided to call my local HVAC company to see what they had to say about it. The HVAC technician that I spoke to was very nice and he told me that a lot of times you can get a little bit of mold or mildew in your ductwork and that makes your whole house smell like the inside of a locker room or a gym shoe. I laughed and then I made an appointment to have them come out and do a thorough ventilation system cleaning. It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s a dead mouse or mold or mildew. I just think that it’s probably time to get it all taken care of. Of course, my mom thoroughly agrees with me! She just says that my house stinks!
