The ironic part about my job is basically that I am a born-and-bred city boy who had never been on a farm before a few months ago.
Now I spend almost every part of my day on one farm or another.
I have to say that I totally love it! City folk have the despicable habit of looking down on anybody who doesn’t live in a big city. The population centers are where you find the most enjoyable activities, & the best jobs. That’s what I used to think way back when, anyway, however now I take my skills on the road, & bring heating & cooling equipment services to the most rural people in this nation! Out here there are certainly few Heating & A/C techs available to help the farmers, so they try to figure all their HVAC concerns out on their own. While there is not much call for air conditioning equipment service, there is constantly a need for help with heating equipment. The winters are so bitter & frosty that a quality heating program is basically necessary not just for your property & your family, but for your creatures, as well… People that keep sizable amounts of livestock have a very strong need for section oil furnaces to keep their barns & stables suitably warm through the nippy season. The oil furnaces need to be entirely powerful enough to keep the creatures living, & sturdy enough to take a beating. The creatures don’t damage the heaters on purpose, however it still happens essentially all the time. The heating equipment also needs to come equipped with a failsafe program so that they don’t start a fire when they get messed up by the animals.
