Shortly after her twentieth birthday, Jenna sat for the state-mandated heating plus cooling certification test. When Helen, her parent from Helen’s Heating, Ventilation & A/C, sat for the test twenty years prior, she had to go in one day plus take it at a testing site. By the time Jenna was ready to take the test, though, it was only available online. They had some kind of method that supposedly made it impossible to cheat, however even so Helen was not a fan of the online Heating, Ventilation & A/C testing procedure. Jenna, though, felt right at home. She also appreciated reading about all the brand new modern Heating, Ventilation & A/C technology when she was in school. Her dear old dad wasn’t so wonderful at that, although she wasn’t so wonderful at the old mechanical stuff, so together they would make a wonderful team. Helen had had to wait for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C graders to grade her test plus rapidly send the results through the mail, however Jenna’s results were available to be read online more than two days later. The only delay was that a woman needed to properly record the results in the database plus prepare the certificate for framing. Once she finally knew she had passed the Heating, Ventilation & A/C test, Jenna was happy to get started in her career. She considered trying to work at a different Heating, Ventilation & A/C shop, however her dad was not cheerful with that system at all; First of all, some of the toxic air conditioner techs could be jerks to girls, plus she didn’t want to have to kick anyone’s ass. Also, her dad did not want her working for a competitor.
