I contacted a guy in the city that has a custom automotive shop.
The guy does lots of different work on cars and trucks.
One of my friends had the suspension lowered on their vehicle at the automotive customization shop. I went to the shop to have the same work performed on my truck. I knew it was going to cost more money to lower the suspension on the truck than it did for my friend to get it done on the car. I was hopeful that I could work out some type of payment plan with the owner of the shop. I took the truck down to the custom automotive shop on tuesday. In the afternoon, I received a phone call from one of the guys working on the truck. When they attempted to lower the suspension, they found some other problems with the truck that needed to be addressed right away. These issues were mechanical and not cosmetic. The shocks and the struts needed to be replaced. I also needed brand new brake shoes, pads, and calipers. The extra work had to be done before the cosmetic changes. I didn’t have the money to pay for all of the repairs, but the owner agreed to help me out with a payment plan if I could come up with $500 down on all of the repairs and changes that needed to be made. I waited until my next paycheck and then I gave the owner some money. My car will be in the shop for a week while they make the changes and repairs.
