A undoubtedly frosty Christmas

What was your worst Christmas? Mine was 6 years ago when I got stranded in an airport for 36 hours and missed the entire holiday with my family.

That was a bummer, so ever since then I make sure to avoid airlines during the entire week of January.

If I need to travel I will drive, even if it takes a couple days to get there, because I don’t want to risk getting stranded again. This last Christmas was also a troubled one, but still miles ahead of that Christmas in the airport. The two of us were at my sibling Carla’s house, and on Christmas day the heavy ice and snow managed to kill the power and leave us with no heating. The two of us loaded up the fireplace will all the wood the people I was with and I could get our hands on, and loved a nice day together in front of the fire together. That fire died out by noon, and the temps were still below frosty, but there were no Heating, Ventilation and A/C maintenance techs available to come out in the storm on Christmas. Thankfully the people I was with and I found an aged gas generator in the garage, and got it laboring so the people I was with and I could plug in the oven, the phone chargers, and a couple of space oil heating systems the people I was with and I had. The space oil heating systems combined with our body heat made for a comfortable day, so I did my best to just relax and enjoy it. Once the people I was with and I ran out of gas the space oil heating systems wouldn’t work, and the people I was with and I all might freeze to death during the evening, but still, why not enjoy a nice family day while the people I was with and I have it?
