AIr duct infestation is easy to detect, expensive to fix

Being an adult never seems like it gets any easier.

From the time that I turned fourteen years old, I’ve basically been taking care of myself like a little adult. And all of this time, I think it has only gotten more complicated and challenging. These days, living in a house by myself feels like the ultimate adult feat. When something goes wrong, I have no one to turn to but myself. I have to be the master of my household appliances, including my dishwasher, laundry machines, and air handling devices. It’s one thing to set a detailed thermostats program and to remember to change the air filters on a regular basis, but it’s a whole other story when your heating and cooling system is compromised. In the case of an emergency repair service, life gets very stressful and expensive very quickly. For me, in my circumstances, replacing all of the ductwork with one income is equally strenuous. My troubles began when I noticed that my air quality fluctuated wildly throughout the day. It seems like my air was also much dirtier than before, with dust floating past the sunshiney windows each time the AC started up. I finally called out a professional Heating and Cooling service technician because it was obvious that my air ducts were not clean. When they arrived, the air quality specialist told me I was right on the money assuming that something was inside my air duct work. In fact, a family of squirrels was living there. Unfortunately, repairing my air ducts was going to be a lot more difficult then diagnosing the problem. Two thousand dollars later, I’m proud of myself for handling this HVAC disaster, but not ready to deal with adult debt.
