I work as a secretary and also a personal assistant to the boss in a major office.
Mainly I answer phones, run errands and make appointments for him.
Sometimes he has me get together office documentation. I have to print papers off, cut and perforate them. Before the office had a standard printer and a do it by hand cutter. I had to line up the giant metal blade to ensure all the papers were the same size. The printer frequently ran out of ink or printed the content lopsided. I would cut the papers at an angle and they would look unprofessional. Most of the work day I would mess with a report that should have taken me 30 minutes. I finally went to my boss and complained. Everything else in the office was all modern and updated, why not the printing supplies? My boss gave me the greenlight and allowed me to pick out the office printing equipment. I decided to go with all Gerber products. I bought the Gerber laser printer and the Gerber M-Series flatbed cutter. Both Gerber products are efficient, effective and intense. I feel like I should be printing and cutting more than office documents. The machines are giant and so professional looking. Before I used to dread when my boss had things printing wise that he needed. Now I am desperate to print and use that cutter. I feel so cool and professional now. The ink is always clear, angled perfect and the papers are cut to the direction that I want them in.
