As a heating and cooling specialist, you see a lot of people, which in general I enjoy.
I like to talk to people and I have gotten to meet all different kinds of people because of my career.
I also have always loved to repair things, and repairing air conditioners and furnaces just seemed natural to me. Most people I know might don’t hide the fact that they don’t take good care of their HVAC devices. Most people just want it to work and then once it’s working completely forget about taking care of it. This used to bother me, but now I have gotten used to it. Anyways, there was one person I visited though that was different. As soon as I visited his home, he told me he was confused how his air conditioning unit was messed up because he took such good care of it. I believed him, until I actually opened the cooling machine up. When I opened it up, it was probably in the worst condition I have ever seen. The air filter hadn’t been changed in at least 6 months, and the entire machine was covered with dirt and debris. The man assured me that he had frequent HVAC cleanings and HVAC tune ups and changed the filter every week, but I didn’t believe him. Either he was getting another A/C professional that didn’t do anything, or the guy was lying, and I think it’s the latter. I didn’t say much to the guy, but finished the cleaning and repair. I don’t understand why he would try to lie to me. As an A/C professional, I can tell whether you’ve taken care of your heating and cooling machines or not.
