I’ve been making fires in the fireplace for the past few days and I think it is helping me sleep better as a result.
Maybe there is something about fire that helps me sleep, as I have been watching fire for most of the nights and sleeping a lot better too. I may have to buy a small gas fireplace for my home and see if it helps me with my sleep. I work a lot online and I think I need to cut off the wifi at 9pm each night and look at a fire instead. I do HVAC sales online and some nights I am on my iPad till well after midnight and on those nights I usually don’t sleep as well. I think that fire adds another layer of help with my sleep though and am planning on making fires a part of my daily diet from now on. I will do my heating and cooling work online earlier in the day and save the nights for chilling out with a fire or reading a book or something. I am going to try and cut back on my computer usage over the next few months and see how it helps with my mood and my sleep. I stare at the computer for hours sometimes looking at heat pumps and a/c units and wasting time doing things that I really don’t even need to be doing. The mind really loves to be occupied with something, and the computer seems like the perfect junk food to fuel that urge.
