Keeping the Flowers Cool

For years I have been in charge of the flower Ministry at my church.

it doesn’t seem adore it should be too challenging a job, but you would not assume some of the problems that come up because of flowers… One of the largest problems I did find is that the priest expects the flowers to stay alive and frisky, although he turns off the air conditioning system all the time.Expect flowers to stay fresh if the air conditioning system is turned off for most of the day! Both of us live in the Southeast, and it’s hot.

If you don’t turn the air conditioning system on, the inside of the building gets stuffy, hot, and humid. This is not the ideal situation for split flowers! Just adore people believe moderate without the AC running, so do the flowers. I would often purchase flowers on Monday, and by Wednesday they would be wilting. I could not get the priest to understand that he either needs to keep the central cooling thermostat set on a sufficient temperature all the time, or he needs to take the flowers out of there and bring them into the office where the AC is running. This would be a particular problem at this time of year because all of us would often fill up the whole church with plants for Christmas.Pending on what kind of plants they are, they most likely need a little air conditioning system. The flowers that are usual at this time of year are generally those that love a little bit cooler weather, then since all of us live in the Southeast and all of us don’t have cooler weather, all of us need to supply artificial cooling for them. I assume that this whole desire to always turn the Heating and Air Conditioning system on and off is cultural. Our priest is from another country that is not nearly as wealthy as this one in general. I have also known other priests from that same country, and they all turned the heating and cooling systems on and off all the time as well. They just would not listen when all of us told them it was better for the Heating and Air Conditioning system itself, the items inside the church, and the wood to just leave the Heating and Air Conditioning running.
