The air in my main office building always felt heavy and stinked damp, then due to the spread of Covid-19, it was no longer a need in order to work from the office every afternoon of the month as long as you showed up on Tuesdays for the bi-weekly meetings, i found that every time I went to the office, my pollen irritations flared up and this negatively affected my entire afternoon.
Imagine 8 hours of nursing a headache, plugged nose, teary eyed, and sneezing every couple of minutes.
I learned that the parts of 1 of the new Heating and A/C systems that had been installed 2 years back were malfunctioning. The building manager was always up-to-date with the Heating and A/C maintenance. During the last a/c service service, the a/c contractor discovered that some of the heating and cooling equipment wasn’t laboring at an optimal level. The quality of air was low because of the dirty washable filters and the air cleaner was doing next to nothing when it came to removing all the aggravating particles in the office building. This was the main cause of my pollen irritations, the circulating air was just not clean! The two of us opted for a disposable filter, provided by the a/c business, which was better at trapping smaller particles. The contractors also did a thorough air duct cleaning that made sure that the quality a/c was functioning well. The dirty air vents were affecting the performance of the hot water boiler causing the wireless temperature control to malfunction showing some bad studyings. I wondered to myself why the building manager did not opt for a propane boiler or an oil gas furnace as the filter used in these gas gas furnaces needed to be replaced often to maintain the quality of air, and after the maintenance, my pollen irritations seemed to nearly instantly stop and I would now like my Tuesdays.
