My dad doesn’t always make much sense. He can be very frugal with money. Hence I said he can be, with some things, like food, he will spend extravagantly. He’ll easily spend over $300 a week on groceries for all kinds of junk food that we really don’t need. But anything else? Suddenly he becomes a penny pincher and is digging for coupons. He is really bad about this when it comes to our heater and A/C. Don’t even get me started on the thermostat, the smart thermostat is always supposed to be at 79 degrees exact, no more no less. I used to get past this by using his phone to control the cooling system, but now he’s locked his phone. Well he keeps the house 79 degrees, but with the sun shining in our home all of the time, it’s close to the mid 80s. The humidity is also really bad here, and we have continuous mold and mildew issues because of it. I have continuously recommended turning down the thermostat, or at least getting a dehumidifier, but my dad is having none of it. Even my mom, who usually always takes his side, agrees with me on this one. But because of my dad’s stubbornness it looks like I won’t be getting a cooling breeze anytime soon, and will be stuck in a hot house. I can’t wait for the cooler seasons to come. On the bright side, my mom told me that if it continues to get bad, she’ll get a dehumidifier, so at least the humidity won’t be as bad.
