My husband Joel has been working as a roofing contractor for the past fifteen years. He’s really good at his job and he always gets great reviews from all of his clients. He does all kinds of roofing jobs, but he specializes in commercial roof replacements and commercial roof construction. Obviously, most of his clients are places like malls, restaurants, and banks. He really likes his job and working as a commercial roofing specialist. He used to just do residential roofing, but he decided pretty early on that he would prefer to work with businesses rather than individuals. I guess when you’re working with commercial roofing contracts, it’s a lot simpler sometimes. It makes sense when you think about it. When you’re working with a ton of different residential customers, they’re going to be dealing with all different kinds of roofing and gutters, not to mention fancy roof restorations on older homes. Joel literally hated getting calls from people saying that they wanted him to come and give them estimates on roof replacements and restorations on older homes. He kept turning down roofing customers one after the other, and that’s when he finally decided that residential roofing was not the job for him! Now that he’s working as a commercial roofing specialist, he has so much less stress to deal with. Most commercial buildings use the same sort of roofing and gutters and they aren’t nearly as concerned about what the outside of their building looks like as homeowners are. I’m glad that he decided to switch to commercial roofing.
