I consider myself lucky to have grown up and went to such a great middle and high school! Not many kids from back in the 1980’s can say that they had great schools, but I can. The one thing other than the great staff that cared about us kids was the fact that they had the best darn heating around! We would never have to worry about freezing in those cold winters because they put their money into the biggest industrial furnace available in that era. And believe me, I can even say that some of the best central heating today doesn’t even come close to the power and comfort that the industrial furnace from that era provided us kids and teachers back at my old high school as well as middle school. Equally as well, towards the end of the school year when the beginning of the summer was coming and it was super hot, they also had the best commercial air conditioning available in that era. The air conditioning was so refreshing and kept the perfect air flow and temperatures throughout the school. I had no complaints and neither did anyone else. It was really because of that industrial furnace and the super powerful commercial air conditioning system that our school never had any issues with kids cutting school! Even if they hated school like I did, you wanted to be there just to enjoy the heating or the air conditioning! Not many homes back then had central heating and cooling, so the school was a great way to get that!
