Our ductwork was sagging.

For a woman, I am tall.

I sit 6’1” without our shoes, so it isn’t unregular to hit our head on the ductwork when I am in the basement. My basement ceiling is only many inches above our head. When I went downstairs last week, I slammed our head into the ductwork that normally didn’t give myself and others any trouble. After checking it out, I called the Heating and A/C corporation. The brackets that held the old ductwork in locale were broken plus the ductwork was sagging. I thought the Heating and A/C tech would simply put up-to-date brackets around the ductwork, however I thought wrong. When he showed up, he told myself and others that the bracket had rusted from the dampness in the basement. Not only were the brackets rusting, but so was the ductwork. He did an inspection of all the ductwork, plus he showed myself and others where it was rusted through in many spots. The heating was coming out into the basement instead of up through the ductwork plus into the house. He said that this part of the ductwork would need to be upgraded. He was going to inspect as much of the ductwork as he could, plus then he would have a specialist come in plus make a final decision. I knew I was going to end up with a major repair bill when I heard the word specialist thrown in with the Heating and A/C. When the Heating and A/C tech came back the next day, he explained about the ductwork. He said he was going to install a flex pipe to take the locale of the rusty metal ductwork. The specialist agreed that the flex pipe should be enough to repair the disfigure.
