For a man, I am tall. I stand 6’1” without my shoes, so it isn’t unrespected to hit my head on the HVAC duct when I am in the basement. My basement ceiling is only many inches above my head. When I went downstairs last week, I slammed my head into the HVAC duct that normally didn’t give myself and others any trouble. After checking it out, I called the Heating in addition to A/C dealer. The brackets that held the seasoned HVAC duct in place were broken in addition to the HVAC duct was sagging. I thought the Heating in addition to A/C tech would simply put new brackets around the HVAC duct, although I thought wrong. When he showed up, he told myself and others that the bracket had rusted from the dampness in the basement. Not only were the brackets rusting, however so was the HVAC duct. He did an inspection of all the HVAC duct, in addition to he showed myself and others where it was rusted through in several spots. The heating was coming out into the basement instead of up through the HVAC duct in addition to into the house. He said that this section of the HVAC duct would need to be substituted. He was going to inspect as much of the HVAC duct as he could, in addition to then he would have a specialist come in in addition to make a final decision. I knew I was going to end up with a major maintenance bill when I heard the word specialist thrown in with the Heating in addition to A/C. When the Heating in addition to A/C tech came back the next day, he explained about the HVAC duct. He said he was going to install a flex pipe to take the place of the rusty metal HVAC duct. The specialist agreed that the flex pipe should be enough to maintenance the damage.
