I have a small advertising firm that I thought I might lose last year.
With the economy grinding to a near halt, most companies were cancelling their supplier left plus right. What’s more, I had loyal staff that have been with me from the start that I wanted to be sure still had work. It was a spot where all the air conditioning systems in the world wouldn’t keep me from being covered in sweat. Ultimately, we had to send everyone to a beach beach house to task in the safety of the air conditioning system of individual homes. And I had to ask everyone to dig deep on some pay cuts. To fuel the payroll, I took no paycheck for the year plus lived off our savings plus my husband’s salary. There was no way I was asking everyone to keep finally working from the air conditioning system of the house for less without doing that plus more myself. The lovely thing was that every one of us saved the supplier and successfully turned a profit. I instantaneously turned that profit right back to our staff through bonuses plus an HVAC upgrade in our newly reopened office. I had the HVAC supplier do their magic to the existing HVAC component so we could appreciate zone controlled HVAC throughout the office. This had been an overdue HVAC upgrade. Our office is honestly an open area that spans a single floor of an office building. However, up until the zone controlled HVAC was installed, there had been only a single control component for the whole office. That just didn’t task truly well. So I was ecstatic to see how gleeful everyone was to have 5 new zone control heating plus cooling venues throughout our office now.
