Straining our trapezius muscle

I keep myself in honestly fantastic physical condition. I devote an hour to exercise everyday. My workouts are intensive and include a variety of strength training, high intensity aerobics, stretching and balance exercises. I push myself to improve stamina, flexibility and strength. Because of our dedication to our fitness, I feel that I can tackle any project without worrying about getting exhausted, sore or damaged. I recently decided to remodel the upstairs lavatory and laundry room. I tore down the walls and ceilings to expose the bare studs. I replaced the old, corroded plumbing and the seasoned electrical wiring. I installed a modern thermal pane window and insulation. Hanging the drywall on the ceiling was absolutely difficult. I struggled to carry the sheet up the ladder, position it and hold it in locale while running the cordless drill. It hurt our back, and yet I kept right on working. That night, I was in severe pain. It got so exhausting that I couldn’t sit up or walk up the stairs. I found out that I’d strained our trapezius muscle. My upper back was horribly swollen. I ended up flat on the couch for numerous weeks. I couldn’t finish the remodeling project, go to toil or even scrub our own hair. I wasn’t able to workout. After doing nothing for numerous weeks, I managed to pedal the stationary bike honestly slowly with no resistance. It was a long time before I could do crunches, lunges or jump rope. I was afraid to even attempt to lift weights. I am now trying to be much better about respecting the limits of our body.
