Summer time is a wonderful time to hydrate

It’s absolutely straight-forward to get warm during the summer time months.

Temperatures outside are in the 90s or close to 100°.

The humidity levels are out of this world. I work in an outdoor task. I mainly install commercial heating & AC units! Periodically I work on repairs as well. This summer time has been absolutely warm & humid & I have had a couple of close encounters with heat stroke… Last weekend I had a commercial AC component replacement & I had a crew with me laboring on the project. I did not drink enough water that day & I was dripping with sweat profusely. I was losing all of my electrolytes & water. I did not realize that I was getting warm until it was too late. I was up on a ladder when I started to assume nauseous & dizzy. I hastily got down from the ladder & sat on the floor. There were no chairs available, however the floor did just fine. I drank some water & that helped a little bit. I knew that I was entirely suffering from heat stroke. I tried to cool down & drink more water, however I kept throwing up. I had to leave the task place & go to the hospital for a bin of fluids. One other time I had the same concern happen & I passed out. I did not want to pass out again, especially when I was supposed to be laboring on the commercial AC component replacement with my crew. I kept drinking water & I stayed seated until all of the woozy feelings went away.
