The replacement fan motor was covered by my manufacturer warranty

I wasn’t convinced at first that I should get a warranty when I was negotiating my first new car purchase. Like anyone else, I have gone through the process of paying extra for manufacturer warranties for computers and TVs. Not once did I ever use one of those superfluous warranties. It felt like I was wasting money every single time. However, my father-in-law told me that vehicle warranties are different, especially if you negotiate a quality plan at an affordable rate. These vehicle warranties will cover your oil changes and other maintenance, as well as any unexpected issues that could arise in the first few years of ownership. I opted to get the vehicle warranty regardless of my skepticism, and now I’m happy that I did. That warranty has saved me hundreds of dollars in car service fees. When I was ready to buy a new air conditioner a few years later, I opted to get a service warranty for the HVAC system as well. This covers twice-a-year service visits and all other labor, while the manufacturer warranty that comes for free with the new system covers any damage done to the equipment itself. So when my fan motor quit working recently, both the parts and labor were covered completely by my HVAC system’s manufacturer warranty. I was so relieved when I learned this from my heating and cooling technician. This whole time I was terrified that I’d be paying for the repairs and was so happy to discover that I was wrong. My HVAC company had my technician take care of the repairs the same exact day that I called them to report problems with my air conditioner. That’s quality customer service for a busy heating and cooling company.
