Why is it hard to find a plumber in St. Pete's?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for six years. Sometimes we talk about getting married, but we have never settled on a date or place. My girlfriend and I live in St Petersburg, Florida. She has lived in St Petersburg for her whole life. I have been living in St Petersburg since I was 12. Both of us know the area very well. We know where the best hiking trails can be found, and we know where there are a few private springs. We know the best fishing spot is under a small bridge next to the highway, a half mile from the last light in North Port, FL. If you ask me a question about St Pete’s or the Tampa area, chances are that I will know the answer. Still, my girlfriend and I can’t find a plumber to work on a Sunday. We bought a new house in February, and we have been working on some updates every paycheck. We decided to change the toilet last weekend. I don’t know what happened, but I had a huge leak in a pipe. I didn’t know where it was coming from and I didn’t have enough knowledge to search. My girlfriend and I called ten plumbers in the St Petersburg area, and none of them worked on Sundays. I had to pay a handsome sum of money to get someone out here to fix the problem pronto. They took fifteen minutes to make the leak repair and I had to pay $200. That might be the last time that I attempt to work on any plumbing issues in the house.
