I thought being an Heating & Air Conditioning contractor would be a simple task.
All I had to do was go to houses & repair their oil furnaces & air conditioning units.
At no time did anyone tell me I would need to put up with homeowners or proprietors that weren’t interested in proper repairs, but only wanted the least done, so the bill wasn’t too high. No a single told me I would need to put up with adolescents, irritated adolescents, cat, cats, or reptiles like snakes. In the last 5 years, I have realized that being an Heating & Air Conditioning contractor can be as alarming as any other task. I appreciate what I do when I am working with the Heating & Air Conditioning system, although I do not like dealing with the people & their animals. Last week, the animal I had to deal with had nothing to do with the family. I was working in an air conditioning unit, & a skunk sauntered from behind it. I thought that if I stayed still & did nothing, the skunk would walk away & not bother me, although I thought wrong. The skunk took a single look at me & went on high alert. He turned his back to me & I could see him stomping his feet. Luckily, I covered our eyep, & he didn’t spray them, but it covered our clothing. I called the owner & told her what had happened, & she said she could smell it in the house. The worst part was that I didn’t suppose how to get rid of the stink. The people I was with and I had to burn our clothing, & I stood in the shower & washed with pickle juice & baking coffee for almost an hour.
