The other members had been with the guy all week working on projects so they had two quarantine everyone at the same time. I had to wait a few more days before the crew could arrive and set everything up. WAiting for a new crew to manage the equipment put me behind schedule. I knew it was going to cost more money to lower the suspension on the truck than it did for my friend to get it done on the car. I was hopeful that I could work out some type of payment plan with the owner of the shop. I took the truck down to the custom automotive shop on tuesday. In the afternoon, I received a phone call from one of the guys working on the truck. When they attempted to lower the suspension, they found some other problems with the truck that needed to be addressed right away. These issues were mechanical and not cosmetic. The shocks and the struts needed to be replaced. I also needed brand new brake shoes, pads, and calipers. The extra work had to be done before the cosmetic changes. I didn’t have the money to pay for all of the repairs, but the owner agreed to help me out with a payment plan if I could come up with $500 down on all of the repairs and changes that needed to be made. I waited until my next paycheck and then I gave the owner some money. My car will be in the shop for a week while they make the changes and repairs.

Being gone for a few years absolutely opens my eyes to the passage of time while I am back here going to see the states.

People have died, gotten old, moved on, and it absolutely is clear to see when you are away for sizable chunks of time.

I am planning on coming back to visit once every several weeks so that I can affix with family and friends more often and not lose touch. I have a local contractor friend who died while I was away and I will never get to talk with him again, which is absolutely concerning because the two of us had a fight that I wanted to smooth out between us. He taught himself and others a lot about the heating, ventilation, and A/C industry and how to repair gas heating systems and cooling systems and I wanted to tell him how much I care about everything he did for myself and others over the years, however I will never get to tell him anything now. I believe this teaches myself and others a lesson to not hold grudges with people because you never suppose when they won’t be around anymore to make things better. Maybe I’ll go visit the local business, where my friend worked, to talk to the other employees about him and get some closure as to why he died so hastily before I had an opportunity to talk to him. I may buy some HEPA filters from them to support his company and workers instead of buying it online to enjoy what I was planning on doing. Life also has a way of teaching us the taxing lessons I guess.

I may buy some HEPA filters from them to support his company and workers instead of buying it online like I was planning on doing. Life has a way of teaching us the taxing lessons I guess.
