Last week, I was talking to our wifey of three years & I told her I was getting a raise at the Heating & Air Conditioning dealer. She looked me in the eye & told me that the more money I make, the more she can spend. I was hoping she was kidding until I looked into her eyep. She was being totally honest. She explained they had done a lot of cutbacks in her company & she was going to be a single of those who were let go. I knew she hated her task, but this wasn’t what I was planning on. Although I had a great task with the Heating & Air Conditioning dealer, I could not make enough to support us & our baby. She either got another task, or I was going to need to take on more hours, & I already averaged 55 hours a week. She reminded me every one of us had talked about her getting a new wardrobe because none of her pre-pregnancy clothes fit anymore, & she was wearing her maternity pants. I should have known to keep our mouth shut, although I didn’t. When I jokingly said she could put the baby in the saunterer & walk or run with her every day, & she would lose weight & not need new clothes, she went ballistic. I was never so gleeful to get a beep from the Heating & Air Conditioning company that day. Not only did I get to make a little extra money, although I could escape her wrath. She was crying & sobbing & yelling that I didn’t appreciate her because she got fat, as I was walking out the door.
