When I called for AC repairs, I never expected them to take my air conditioner component away when the HVAC serviceman left.
He said he had to take the AC component back to the shop to service it. Before I could ask when I would get it back, he had gone. I had no paperwork that showed the HVAC serviceman had been there, or what was wrong was that the AC component had been removed. I called the HVAC supplier plus told them about my AC component plus said I had some questions. Before I could say anything more, the dispatcher asked myself and others who had taken the AC component with them. I had the first name of the serviceman, but that was it. She explained they had not yet dispatched someone to my house. They knew nothing about someone coming to make repairs plus taking the AC component with them. Never have they taken any section of an HVAC plan back to the shop for repairs, unless it was warrantied plus needed to be updated. I was worried that someone had just stolen my AC component plus I would need to go without AC because I couldn’t afford a modern unit. A modern voice came on the plus introduced himself as the owner of the dealer. Since I had an extended warranty plus had the AC component insured with my homeowner’s insurance, they were going to bring a modern AC component to the home plus install it. It would take a afternoon or 2, but I would have a modern AC component by the end of the week.All I had to do was call the police plus make a report.
