Dog won’t leave radiant heated floors

When my wife said that she wanted to adopt a puppy I was not excited about the idea.

I absolutely love dogs, but I do not want a rambunctious little puppy running around the house.

Do you know how much work it is to train and wrangle an excited puppy? Too much. I knew that I didn’t have the time or patience to deal with such a project right now… But she went out and adopted a puppy anyway. Thank God, the outdoor air temperature changed shortly after she got our new family member. When we first got the pooch, it was extremely warm and comfortable outside. The puppy clearly enjoyed the outdoor climate as much as we did. This meant he constantly wanted to go inside and outside to appreciate the Sun and gentle breeze. Then, he wanted to appreciate the air conditioning that we were pumping through every vent. As the outdoor air temperature began to decline, so did our puppy’s activity level. He no longer wanted to be outside in the frigid air. In fact, he didn’t even want to leave our master bathroom. Why? Because we wisely had radiant heated floors installed in that room several years ago. The puppy clearly realized that the heated flooring was ideal for his tiny body as soon as he experienced it. Now, he mainly spends his time laying on the warm radiant heated floors. Thanks to our alternative heating system in the bathroom providing ideal temperatures directly to our furry buddy, we barely even see him, and training has become a non-issue.
