I know it's cold, but I like to wear my warm hoodie

My boyfriend graduated from high school a year before I was done.

He decided to join the military and he left for basic training a month after our summer vacation began.

I didn’t want him to leave, but he said it was for our future. I didn’t know that I wouldn’t get to see him for another three months. Before he left, he gave me his favorite sweatshirt. I love wearing the sweatshirt all around the house. It still smells like my boyfriend. Unfortunately, it’s the middle of the summer season and it really isn’t sweatshirt weather. I usually turn down the air conditioner so the indoor temperature is cold. I have been adjusting the indoor temperature everyday since my boyfriend left. I lounge around the house in his sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants. I really didn’t think about how much money it might cost to keep the air conditioner thermostat set so low. My mom came home from work early on Tuesday and she went crazy when she saw that I had the thermostat set to 66 degrees. She was already in a bad mood and she yelled and screamed for an hour about the bills and the financial responsibility that she has to face. She told me that it cost a fortune to run the air conditioner. She told me to go upstairs and take off the sweatshirt. My mom doesn’t understand how much I miss my boyfriend. The only thing she cares about is the bills and the air conditioner. I can’t wait until I finish high school so I can go live with my boyfriend.
