I called for emergency plumbing service when the “water leak” was just a false alarm

I tend to get really clumsy when I’m under a lot of stress and time constraints in my life. I sometimes drop glass plates in the sink and have to fish the tiny glass shards out of the teeth of the garbage disposal so its motor doesn’t fry when we use it. Yesterday I was running late for work and managed to spill coffee all over the only shirt I had with me, causing me to turn around and be even later for work than I was originally. Thankfully my boss was understanding of my situation that day, probably because I had signed onto our work platform before leaving the house and completed a project while I was eating breakfast and drinking a cup of coffee. Sometimes I’ll be so frantic-minded that I’ll assume there’s a problem when there isn’t one at all. I thought I was being followed for miles once by a random truck and wondered what I could have done to annoy or anger the person. Eventually after 20 minutes of the person making all of the same turns as me, they turned down a residential street and pulled into their driveway. After traveling miles and thinking that the car behind me was following, it was just a stupid coincidence. But the worst example of this happened when I called for emergency plumbing service on a random Saturday night because I thought that there was a water leak in my bathroom when I saw a pool of water near my sink. As it turns out, I knocked over a cup of water that had been sitting on the countertop. When the plumber was inspecting the water line, I discovered the cup on the floor right next to the supposed “water leak.”
