Knowing how our Dad felt about Heating & Air Conditioning professionals, I made it a point to be at her home whenever she needed any type of Heating & Air Conditioning work done.
I had tried to talk her out of her distrust, however there was no talking to her.
She was sure that all Heating & Air Conditioning professionals were terrible people. I had never known our Dad to be so stubborn. The two of us sat there talking over the weekend, & I asked her if there was a identifiable reason for her not to trust Heating & Air Conditioning professionals. She told myself and others about what had happened when our dad was still alive. They had been having some pretty major concerns with the oil furnace, & they called the local Heating & Air Conditioning corporation. It took the professional nearly an hour to assess the oil furnace. She came upstairs & told them they were right about their fears. They really needed a new oil furnace. Since they had to purchase a new oil furnace, the Heating & Air Conditioning tech didn’t charge them for the repair call, & she told them an Heating & Air Conditioning corporation would be there the following day. When the young man left, dad commented on how nice she was as she went into the living room. Along with the bill, which had been left on the living room counter, she had also taken her heart meds. They could not prove it was the Heating & Air Conditioning professional, however the owner found them in the man’s shirt pocket. She said she hadn’t trusted an Heating & Air Conditioning professional or anyone else who was a repair woman ever since that occurred. Although it seemed wrong to blame repair people for what 1 man did, I could understand why she was so distrusting.
