You might think that living in an RV would be the cheapest thing in the world, but I learned quickly just how expensive it can be if you’re doing it legally. Most people can guess that an RV wouldn’t have the best gas mileage in the world. I pay over twice as much money to drive the same distance as I did in my old sedan. But the insane price for fuel and the cost of repairs and maintenance for the RV are just part of the battle. I also have to pay wherever I park, if I’m doing it legally. Some people look for a Walmart that is fine with overnight parking, but a large portion of them are not. Campgrounds have daily fees and so do RV parks. But you also have to buy equipment, supplies, and appliances for your RV. I recently put a new window air conditioner inside my RV because the old one was no longer performing well. After getting it sealed inside the RV’s window, it started working really well from the jump. It’s a powerful cooling system and doesn’t utilize much energy to keep the inside of the RV nice and cool whenever I need a change with my indoor climate.
