There was a time when I went entirely without a smartphone even when all of my friends were getting them. People would show me videos on their phones and all kinds of funny pictures. They even played really cool games on their phones and these were things I could not do on my flip phone. Still, I thought the cost for everybody’s cell phone plans were ridiculous compared to my plan that was only $15 per month. I had friends who were actually paying over $100 per month for their unlimited cell phone plans and I didn’t really understand the appeal of it back then. Then as time passed by, I started hearing about smart thermostats and how people were able to adjust the temperature controls settings for their HVAC systems remotely. I thought that was quite fascinating. When I learned what people could do with their smart thermostats and how they were saving big money on their energy bills, I thought it might be a good idea to invest in a smart thermostat along with a smartphone. So I shopped around and found a good deal on a smartphone along with a smart thermostat. It took me a little while to get used to using the smartphone but I realized that there was so much I could do with it. I couldn’t believe that for so long I was going without a smartphone but now I feel like I’m catching up with the times. I really love how I am able to adjust my temperature control settings at home before I drive there and the house feels just right as soon as I walk through the door!
