I went out of town for a football game last weekend and I stayed in a hotel on Friday and Saturday night.
I decided to make the six-hour drive on Friday after work was over.
I didn’t get to the hotel until almost midnight, but my room was ready. I requested a room with a king sized bed, but the desk clerk said they only had a room with two queen beds. I was a little disappointed, but I was happy they gave me a room on the first floor. It made it easier to carry all of my things to the room. I slept like a king in my queen sized bed and the AC blasted cold air on me all night long. I couldn’t believe how cold the indoor air was after setting the AC thermostat to 70 degrees. I have to turn the AC way down in my apartment if I want tohe room to feel cold. I could barely handle the temperature at 70 degrees in my room. Saturday morning, my buddy called to tell me that he got the day off work. He decided to drive to the hotel. Since I had a room with two beds, we decided to share lodging. It didn’t make sense for the guy to rent a room of his own, if we could share the expense and both have our own bed. My friend and I had a great time at the game on Sunday. Our favorite team didn’t win, but it was a really close match. I would absolutely make the drive again to see them play.
