Our dog doesn’t care much for winter

When my partner said that she wanted to adopt a puppy I was not happy about the idea.

I easily enjoy pets, but I do not want a rambunctious little puppy running around the house.

Do you know how much work it is to train and wrangle a happy puppy? Too much. I knew that I did not have the time or patience to deal with such a project right now. She went out and adopted a puppy anyway! Thank God, the outdoor air temperature changed shortly after she got our new family member, and when the two of us first got the pooch, it was harshly warm and comfortable outside. The puppy clearly enjoyed the outdoor climate as much as the two of us did. This meant he regularly wanted to go inside and outside to laze about the sun and gentle breeze. Then, he wanted to feel the air conditioning that we were pumping through every vent, then as the outdoor air temperature began to decline, so did our puppy’s activity level. He no longer wanted to be outside in the frigid air. In fact, he did not even want to leave our master room. Why? Because we wisely had radiant heated floors installed in that room several years ago. The puppy clearly realized that the heated flooring was ideal for his tiny body as soon as he experienced it. Now, he mainly spends his time laying on the radiant heated floors. Thanks to our warm furnace in the master room providing ideal hot and cold temperatures directly to our furry buddy, the two of us barely even see him, and training has become a non-issue.
