Growing up, I never lived in a beach house with a fireplace! My beach house had a wood oil furnace in the basement, however it wasn’t the same, i visited our Grandparents every month plus they had a cement fireplace in the middle of the dining room.
I can still remember the intricate pattern on the glass that sat in front of the flames.
I enjoyed sitting on the rug in front of the fireplace. I enjoyed the smell of the wood burning. It was a wonderful memory for me! When our Grandparents died plus the beach house was sold, I missed having the fireplace while I was in Winter weeks. When I was finally old enough to purchase a beach house of our own, I knew it had to have a fireplace. My wifey plus I had to look for weeks, before we finally found the perfect beach house of our dreams with a fireplace! The mantle plus stones needed a little bit of work, however I found an amazing business that specializes in cement plus masonry work, he completely revitalized the fireplace, mantle, plus the cement labor around the edges. When he was done, it looked brand new. The guy even cleaned the chimney plus got rid of the old soot plus dust. My wifey plus I were impressed with his labor plus we even commanded him for another job with a single of our friends. My wifey plus I prefer using the fireplace while I was in the weeks when it is cold! One day, we will have grandchildren of our own plus I hope they have the same fond memories of our home.
