They weren’t using the air conditioner anyway

Spring Break was almost a nightmare for Max and I.

Since it was our last year in school, we wanted to plan a big, fun trip.

After graduation, we didn’t know where we would be going, or if we would go there together so this was to be a sort of “last hurrah” just in case. I make it sound sad, but it wasn’t at all, it was a reason to cut loose and have a lot of fun. We brought booze, weed, some Molly, and rented a little cabin on the beach. I had no idea that Max had accidentally rented us a place that didn’t have air conditioning. That was absolutely not going to be okay with me, so I got my toolbox and went to look for an AC unit I could borrow. I was very good with my hands, and had a checkered past, but I didn’t really want to steal an air conditioner to keep, just to borrow one for a couple of days. This is something I had done in the past, when I lived in the trailer park. It is possible to safely remove a window-mounted air conditioner from the outside, if you know what you’re doing. If you don’t know how to do it the right way you will break the window, the sill, and the A/C unit, too. Max was my lookout, and my assistant, while I unlatched the mounting brackets and gently lowered the very heavy air conditioner into his arms. We returned it three days later, none the worse for wear.
