Trying to reason with the HOA over my HVAC just didn’t work

So, I had no choice but to turn it over to my shark lawyer

So practice makes perfect right? That’s what I was always told as a kid. When my son decided to use his savings to buy some lawn equipment and start doing yardwork last summer, I helped him out. I love the fact that my kid isn’t interested in spending all summer in the HVAC cooling online gaming. So anyway that I could help him learn a few things he didn’t know about yard work, I was all in. He used his new hedge trimmer for the first time on our privacy hedge on the south side of the house. It was his first shot and it took him a couple of tries to get the hedge even. However, the hedge ended up being a bit short. It was no big deal as that hedge was due for a pruning and will grow back even better. Well, I guess it was a big deal to the HOA. They left a snotty and threatening letter on my front door threatening to fine me a ton of money because the HVAC cabinet could just barely be seen now. My initial reaction was to tell them to stuff it. However, that’s not exactly great behavior to model for my son. So instead, I picked up the phone to call the HOA enforcement officer. I explained the entire situation and told him the hedge would be back to normal in a few months. He was having none of it and told me I either replace the hedge, build a fence or get fined daily. So, I had no choice but to turn it over to my shark lawyer. Just so happens she lives in this house too. I feel sorry for the guy but I gave him the chance to back off.
