Being in quarantine is really not easy for me, I have found out over the past several months; I’ve been thinking about starting to date again after an awful breakup a few months ago! With that being said, about the time I started to seriously consider dating again, the whole country got shut down because of coronavirus… So much for our dating plan, I guess. I think that you could say that there really aren’t several men coming in plus out of our yard, so there’s not much of an opportunity to meet anyone; Well, 1 afternoon I observed that our air conditioning seemed to be on the decline. The HVAC technician that I spoke to was very nice and he told me that a lot of times you can get a little bit of mold or mildew in your ductwork and that makes your whole house smell like the inside of a locker room or a gym shoe. I laughed and then I made an appointment to have them come out and do a thorough ventilation system cleaning. It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s a dead mouse or mold or mildew. I just think that it’s probably time to get it all taken care of. Of course, my mom thoroughly agrees with me! She just says that my house stinks!

I laughed and then I made an appointment to have them come out and do a thorough ventilation system cleaning. It doesn’t make a difference to me whether it’s a dead mouse or mold or mildew. When my husband and I first met, we both had the same opinion about our desired lifestyle and outlook on procreating.

Neither one of us was extremely impressed with the idea of having a horde of children running around our house. In fact, we both joked about how expensive and tedious kids were, and swore that we would never fall into that financial trap. Then, the neighbors moved in and brought their adorable children with. Suddenly, my husband was spending his free time teaching the kids how to fix bicycles and fill car tires. Next thing I knew, he was talking about having kids of our own. I’m sorry, what? That’s not what we agreed on. Now, he won’t let it go. Every day he’s badgering me about babies, and I’m retorting with sending him articles about HVAC systems. You see, along with all of the ridiculous expenses of having kids, you also have to consider your monthly energy bills. With just the two of us in the house, we barely have to use any energy because the HVAC system is not very important. We generally are in the same room together, so we can utilize a window air conditioning unit or a space heater to moderate to the indoor air temperature. When you start adding more humans to the house, you suddenly need a central HVAC system. Besides that, more humans under one roof means having more air temperature preferences to contend with. If the kids are fiddling with the thermostat every 5 minutes, bickering over their desired air quality, our HVAC system is going to feel the wear and tear. I guess I’ve always had a little bit of an ego and it has gotten me into trouble at many points in my life. I don’t think that I’m a very conceited person or purposely think highly of myself, but there’s no doubt that I have bitten off more than I could chew many times before. This is especially true when it comes to my job. I tend to be a real go-getter when it comes to my professional career, and although that gets me noticed by the bosses… It’s not always a good thing. About five years ago I wound up in trade school, acquiring my professional heating and cooling technician certification. It only took 18 months to complete the professional air quality control licensure, and I secured a job before graduation day even arrived. I graduated at the top of my class and I was extremely confident in my HVAC repair skills. When I got to the local heating and cooling company, I was doing great work diagnosing and repairing local residential HVAC systems. Then, the little HVAC business closed. I had no choice but to move to a new air quality control dealership – but the only other one in town was a commercial HVAC shop. Of course, I thought that I knew how to handle any HVAC device, so I lied on my resume and jumped right in. My first day on the job, it took me over 12 hours to perform one supposedly simple repair. I actually created more damage than I fixed. My brand new HVAC company made me pay for the new damages I caused to the commercial HVAC system and I had to work a week of overtime to make up for all the other heating and cooling appointments I missed that day. It wasn’t a great start to my new job, but my bosses sure knew my name right away.

It’s strange sometimes how things work.

I remember not too long ago, I was thinking about a crush I had back in high school.

This girl was amazing. She was popular and I think that everybody loved her. She was really nice to me back then too but we never could be anything more than friends. Ever since high school though, I never talked to her again. As a matter of fact, I decided to get into a trade school to achieve my HVAC certification and I was sure she probably went to some fancy college. Well, I had been working at this reputable HVAC company for a few years and it was weird when I started thinking about my old crush, just wondering what she was doing and if she was married with children. Then I got a call to repair the broken down HVAC system at this family restaurant. When I went there to speak to the owner, I was shocked because I recognized it was my old crush from back in high school! She was looking better than ever and when she recognized me too, I think my face must have turned red. We got to talking and she asked me how come I never kept in touch with her. I really couldn’t answer that but I asked her if she was married, and surprisingly she wasn’t. She wasn’t even dating anybody, nor was I. She told me that we should go out for a drink sometime after I fixed the HVAC system in her family restaurant. I really loved the place and complimented her on running such a fine establishment. When we eventually went out for drinks, we actually hit it off.
